Job summary

Stormont Vail Health seeks a part-time Medical/Surgical RN (BSN) for night shifts in Topeka, KS. This non-exempt position (24 hours/week) delivers professional nursing care to patients aged 12 and up, following the Stormont Vail Health practice model.

Responsibilities include data collection, assessment analysis, plan development, and coordination of care, with an emphasis on safety, ethics, and lifelong learning. KSBN license and BLS are required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Registered Nurse licensure in KS or multi-state with KS recognition.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with patient-centered, evidence-based care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data and information relevant to care.
• Analyzes assessment data to identify problems and plan care.
• Develops collaborative care plans and coordinates delivery.
• Delivers nursing care guided by professional standards and ethics.
• Mentors and supports students and new nurses as needed.
• Promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in daily practice.
• Maintains compliance with policies, training and Stormont Vail standards.
