Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is launching a Registered Nurse Apprenticeship program in collaboration with Lakeland Community College and Kent State University – Ashtabula. Candidates will start as Patient Care Nursing Assistants, earning tiered bonuses up to 12K as they progress through the program.

Upon successful completion of the RN program and licensure, candidates will transition to a UH Medical-Surgical RN role with a one-year commitment at UH Lake West or UH Tripoint Medical Centers.

Qualifications

• Commitment to complete RN program at Lakeland Community College or Kent State University - Ashtabula.
• Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours every 6-week schedule.
• Willingness to achieve milestones for tiered bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Begin as Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) in preparation for RN licensure.
• Participate in a structured apprenticeship program leading to RN position.
• Fulfill a 1-year work commitment as UH Medical-Surgical RN post-licensure.

University Hospitals, in partnership with Lakeland Community College and Kent State University - Ashtabula (KSU-A), is offering a new Registered Nurse (RN) Apprenticeship program to obtain the education and skills needed to become an RN at UH Lake West and UH Tripoint Medical Centers.

This program will follow a milestone model where selected candidates will receive tiered bonuses as certain milestones are achieved, earning up to 12K. The candidate will be hired into a Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) role with a minimum work commitment of 24hrs every 6-week schedule. Upon successful completion of an RN program at Lakeland Community College or Kent State University – Ashtabula and receipt of RN licensure, the employee will be promoted to a UH Medical-Surgical RN with a 1-year work commitment at UH Lake West or UH Tripoint Medical Centers.
