Job summary

A healthcare provider in Ohio is seeking candidates for a Registered Nurse (RN) Apprenticeship program. This role offers the opportunity to gain essential skills and education needed for nursing licensure. Selected candidates will initially serve as Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNA) and are required to work a minimum of 24 hours every 6 weeks. Successful applicants will receive tiered bonuses as they achieve milestones in the program, ultimately progressing to an RN position upon licensure completion.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UH employee or a student from Lakeland Community College or Kent State University‑Ashtabula.
• BLS certification must be obtained during UH orientation.
• Prior direct patient care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient nursing care to patients/families.
• Implement the nursing process to assist patients in achieving optimal health.
• Complete patient care activities as delegated by the RN.
