UH St. John Medical Center provides residents of western Cuyahoga and eastern Lorain counties with high-quality health care in a faith-based Catholic hospital setting, including a Level 3 trauma center.
What can I do as a NA II?
NA II s work under the direction of an RN to provide safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. Responsibilities include:
- Direct patient care delivery, including, but not limited to: ADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints
- Communication and documentation of interventions and observations
- Participation in quality improvement process
- Involved in learning and self-improvement
- Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers - why UH

Current NA II opportunities exist across UH St. John Medical Center including:
- Enrollment in a Diploma RN, Associate or bachelor’s degree of Nursing from an accredited program
- Successful completion of a Registered Nursing Fundamentals course required

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
