Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Registered Nurse for Tri Point Labor and Delivery to provide age-specific care in a fast-paced obstetric unit. You will apply the nursing process to support moms, newborns, and families, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires at least 1 year of inpatient RN experience; a BSN is preferred. A sign-on bonus of $8,000 is available for eligible experienced nurses, with taxes per policy.

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient RN experience required. OBGYN/Women's Health preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed therapies. (Required proficiency)
• Licensed as RN in Ohio or Multi-State Compact; BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivers relationship-based nursing care using the nursing process to attain optimal health status.
• Demonstrates clinical skills to ensure safe practices and positive care outcomes.

The birthing center at UH TriPoint Medical Center is designed specifically to provide advanced obstetrics care while enhancing safety, comfort and convenience for moms, newborns and their families. Our spacious, private patient rooms are built around the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) model, meaning that moms remain in the same room through all phases of the birth process including recovery and the post-partum period.

Position Summary

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

• Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or
• (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
