Job summary

Kaweah Health seeks a Student Nurse Aide to support ICU staff on the night shift. The role requires enrollment in an accredited RN program and completion of at least one semester, with BLS certification and preferred CA CNA certification.

Duties include patient assistance, documentation, and reporting to licensed staff. Under RN preceptorship, you will perform unit duties, maintain safety standards, and help coordinate patient care while developing essential nursing skills in a real hospital

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited RN program with successful completion of at least one semester.
• Transcript updates to HR each term and notify Manager/HR of changes in nursing program enrollment.
• Participation in Work Study Program affiliated with the school of nursing or Kaweah Health employment while enrolled in a KH/U nitek nursing program eligibility for the practice/academic partnership.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nursing staff under RN supervision. Follow unit competencies and school checklists.
• Greet patients and families; respond to calls; assist with needs and daily activities.
• Document care provided in the EMR as soon after care occurs as possible.
• Perform duties within scope, report variances, and maintain confidentiality.
