Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA seeks a Student Nurse Aide to assist nursing staff and support patient care on a 12-hour day shift. You will work under an RN preceptor, follow care plans, and help with daily living activities while maintaining patient dignity and safety.

The role requires active enrollment in an accredited RN program, BLS, and may include crisis intervention training. A CA CNA certification is preferred.

Competenze

• BLS certification required.
• Crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer encouraged.
• CA Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program with at least one completed semester.
• Participation in an approved Work Study Program affiliated with the school of nursing/Kaweah Health or Unitek nursing program (not for academic credit) required.

• Assist in providing holistic care under the direction of the RN preceptor.
• Report variances in patient conditions to licensed staff.
• Refer complaints and problems to licensed staff or department manager.
• Respond to patient call lights within two minutes as assigned.
• Greet patients and families, identify self, assist with patient needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in achieving quality patient care.
• Follow safety and infection control policies; perform tasks safely.
• Assist nursing staff with delegated tasks and patient care activities.
• Provide for patient toileting needs and document outputs as directed.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Orient patients to room and routine; assist with meals and hydration.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs collection as delegated.
• Collect specimens and record data in the EMR promptly.
• Provide post-mortem care when applicable and assist transport to morgue.
• Participate in crash cart checks and Code Blue responses as needed.

Formazione

BLS

Crisis Intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer
