BJC HealthCare is hiring a Part-Time Student Radiology Technologist for the Barnes-Jewish Hospital MRI Department. You will gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art facility while supporting imaging teams.

Current radiology students will train under licensed technologists; no prior experience required. Flexible scheduling aligns with school hours, including evenings and weekends, to help you balance studies with clinical exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required as a minimum.
• No prior work experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists with imaging procedures under supervision.
• Escort and assist patients to and from examination areas and imaging tables.
• Gather required patient information for procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Under the supervision of a registered technologist performs imaging procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program.
Illinois: Following IEMA guidelines as it pertains to administering radiation/making exposures.

Responsibilities

• Assists the technologist with imaging procedures. Students require direct supervision in surgery.


• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.


• Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
