Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to perform general imaging procedures for adult and pediatric patients. The role requires independent radiographic imaging and occasional OR exposure in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications include an associate degree or higher, ARRT RT(R) registration, and Illinois IEMA licensing. The position supports on-call coverage, with evenings and overnight shifts from Mon-Thu 7pm–6am.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required.
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - RT(R) and ARRT registered.
• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI; Radiology Technologist registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures with high customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.

The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
