Barnes-Jewish Hospital MRI Department is seeking a Part-Time Student Radiology Technologist. The role supports imaging procedures, works around school hours, with evenings and weekends options, and provides hands-on MRI experience in a high-volume academic center.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in radiology programs with no prior experience required as training is provided, including operation of Siemens MRI machines and other advanced imaging equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Under the supervision of a registered technologist performs imaging procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program.
Illinois: Following IEMA guidelines as it pertains to administering radiation/making exposures.


Responsibilities


  • Assists the technologist with imaging procedures. Students require direct supervision in surgery.

  • Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.

  • Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
