Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower in St. Louis is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to perform general diagnostic radiography for adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced setting.

This role features evenings and overnight shifts (7pm–6am), in-house patients and the OR, portable exams, and ER work, with Siemens equipment in the ED and Samsung/Carestream portables. Required: Associate degree or higher and ARRT radiography registration; the candidate should have at least 2 years

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required.
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)).
• ARRT registration is required.
• Minimum 2 years radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
• Occasional time in the Operating Room (OR).
• Works independently in the Emergency Department (ER).

The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders

• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
