Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking a RecSports Student Assistant - Member Services Associate at the Main Campus in Gainesville. You will serve as the first contact for RecSports members, handle memberships at the Welcome Desk, and help participants with the Recreational Sports program.

This on-campus, part-time OPS position requires evening and weekend availability, strong communication, and a commitment to customer service excellence. Training and certifications will be completed after hire.

Qualifications

Experience in customer service or front desk roles is preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability to work nights and weekends.
Ability to commit 9-12 hours per week.
Must maintain UF online certifications after hire.

Responsibilities

Monitor access at the Welcome Desk to ensure valid users and guests are admitted.
Guide patrons through purchasing memberships and inform about options.
Assist program participants and facility users by phone and in person.
Refer patrons to appropriate areas as needed.
Be knowledgeable about RecSports programs and services.
Work independently to deliver excellent customer service.
Respond to injuries and follow emergency procedures.
