Job summary

University of Florida RecSports is seeking a Student Services Associate to join our energetic team. You’ll serve as the first point of contact at the Southwest Recreation Center and Student Recreation and Fitness Center, delivering excellent customer service and guiding patrons through membership options.

The role requires evening and weekend availability, 9–12 hours weekly, and completion of UF online certifications after hire.

Qualifications

• Interest in recreation, fitness, and campus involvement.
• Able to work nights and weekend hours.
• Available to work 9–12 hours per week.
• Must complete UF online certifications after hire (GET803, OOC101, PRV802, ITT102, GET811).
• Minimum 2.0 GPA maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility access at the Welcome Desk.
• Guide patrons through membership options.
• Assist program participants by phone and in person.
• Respond to injuries and follow emergency procedures.
• Promote cleanliness and uphold RecSports standards.
• Enforce policies for safety and participant satisfaction.
• Attend Fall Kick-Off and staff training events.
