Job summary

San Francisco Bay University (SFBU) is seeking a Marketing & Communications Student Assistant on its Fremont campus. You will help capture and edit social-first content, draft copy, and support campus events while learning marketing analytics and digital campaigns.

As a current SFBU student, you’ll work with the Communications and Marketing team to represent SFBU at events, create engaging content, and grow our social presence across platforms with guidance from the team.

Qualifications

• Must be a full‑time SFBU student.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have completed at least one full semester at SFBU.
• Experience creating social media content through employment, coursework, student organizations, volunteer activities, or personal projects.

Responsibilities

• Capture photographs, interviews, and short‑form video at student activities, campus events, and other university programs.
• Edit photos and short‑form videos and write concise captions reflecting SFBU’s brand voice.
• Organize, label, and upload content assets for reuse across channels.
• Support campus events, promotions, and content delivery, including social posts and basic digital assets.
• Represent SFBU professionally to students, employees, partners, and visitors.
• Assist with digital marketing campaigns and reporting, and help with content calendars.
