Job summary

James Madison University is seeking a Coordinator for Student Life, Leadership Experiences to support student leadership programs, supervise a graduate assistant and undergraduate student employees, and oversee the Make Your Mark on Madison Program. This role serves as a campus security authority under the Clery Act.

• Demonstrated professional experience in higher education/student affairs.
• Knowledge of leadership education best practices.
• Commitment to student development and a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Graduate Assistant for Leadership Development and undergraduate staff; manage hiring, training, scheduling and performance.
• Implement and assess the Make Your Mark on Madison Program (MYMOM); oversee curriculum and HRD 475 course responsibilities.
• Coordinate leadership development programs and coaching, with marketing and collaboration across student organizations.
• Contribute to annual budget planning and resource allocation for Student Life initiatives.
• Participate in department and university committees; ensure compliance with policies and the Clery Act.
