Job summary

City of Owatonna is hiring a Seasonal/Temp Library Page - Student Assistant to support daily library operations. You will shelve materials, maintain displays, and assist in programs. The role includes evening and weekend shifts, with daily public interaction.

The ideal candidate is at least 15 years old, comfortable with computers, and able to multitask while delivering friendly service to patrons.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age at time of hire.
• Ability to work with the public and basic computer operations.
• Familiarity with alphanumeric organization systems.
• Ability to sort and file books and materials; retrieve and shelve as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively; understand instructions; work independently; multitask.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books and materials in correct order.
• Shelve and display materials in proper locations.
• Prepare program areas and assist with programs.
