Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a Library Student Assistant for late nights and weekends under the Federal Work Study program. The role supports the Circulation Desk, stacks, and study areas, with in-person duties at the University Library in Turlock.

Starting September 14, 2026 and ending May 22, 2027, with possible renewal. Responsibilities include shelving, shelf-reading, checking materials in/out, assisting with opening/closing, and occasional outreach; requires enrollment in 6+ units (undergrad)

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in 6+ Fall/Spring units (undergrad).
• Graduate students must be enrolled in 4 Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid for current term.

Responsibilities

• Assist users at Circulation Desk, stacks, and study areas.
• Answer library service questions and refer to librarians as needed.
• Monitor and report issues throughout the library.
• Check materials in/out using the library system.
• Assist with opening/closing of the library.
• Shelve materials and perform shelf-reading.
• Possible outreach tabling responsibilities.
