Job summary

Big Shoulders Fund in Northwest Indiana seeks a driven Manager, Student Leadership Development & Scholarship Programs based in Merrillville to lead and coordinate student leadership initiatives and scholarship activities across Northwest Indiana.

You will collaborate with the Managing Director to plan, implement, and evaluate programs including Junior Leadership Journey and Leader in Me, and to engage schools, families and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Experience coordinating programs, events, or learning experiences from planning through implementation.
• Experience developing or facilitating curriculum, training, workshops, or other learning experiences.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to Northwest Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, implementation, and evaluation of student leadership programs and scholarships.
• Oversee program timelines, schedules, communications, logistics, and follow-up across multiple projects.
• Lead planning and execution of signature events and student-centered activities.
• Support curriculum facilitation and materials aligned to LiM framework.
• Maintain program records and analyze participant feedback for improvements.
• Engage schools, families, and partners with effective communication and outreach.
