Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be a current SHSU student.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to lift or move 50 pounds without personal injury.
• Commit to 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Willingness to wear PPE in hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive a truck, secure cargo, and pull a trailer as needed.
• Operate forklift and hand truck/pallet jack safely.
• Use Oxygen Fuel Cutting torch, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding equipment as required.
• Design and construct wood and metal objects for the lab.
• Organize the laboratory and toolrooms for efficient workflow.
• Assist in lab setup and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
