Job summary

Perkins School for the Blind seeks a Job Coach to support students across on‑campus and community work sites. Strong written and verbal communication is essential to collaborating with educational teams and site supervisors.

The role requires driving students to placements and documenting progress to inform decision making. Experience with visually impaired or Deafblind individuals is a plus, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Two years’ experience working with people with disabilities.
• Experience with visually impaired or Deafblind individuals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working with students to identify, develop, and refine job skills.
• Assessing work environments and developing strategies for independence.
• Helping students understand job descriptions and workplace culture.
• Providing on‑the‑job training to build site‑specific and foundation skills.
• Documenting student performance and reporting to the team.
• Communicating with site supervisors and vocational staff.
