Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred.
• Willingness to train and obtain certifications in First Aid/CPR, AED, Safety Care, and Sign Language.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to students in the Deafblind School.
• Assist with independent living skills training and classroom activities.
• Support program needs planning and meeting coverage as needed.
• Assist with lifting and transfers and mobility support as required.
• Implement behavioral interventions and communication skills strategies with students.
