Job summary

Join the Systems and Technology (SYSTECH) team that supports the University of Utah’s College of Nursing. SYSTECH provides state-of-the-art support and fosters growth for each employee, with a focus on improving technology for faculty, staff, and students.

This is a non-benefitted student work study position located in the College of Nursing building on campus. The Student Computer Operator will support IT and AV needs, reporting to the IT Manager and assisting the SYSTECH team with ticketing

Qualifications

• Student must have WORK STUDY funding available.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service and assists users with specialized software.
• Creates reports, documents and how-to articles.
• Notifies appropriate technical groups of errors or equipment malfunctions requiring more advanced troubleshooting and analysis.
• Provide technical support for faculty and staff
• Monitor and troubleshoot classroom and AV technology
• Process IT inventory
• Deploy and setup IT equipment
• Other projects as assigned
