Job summary

KU Information Technology is seeking Student Hourly - Entry Level IT Technician to join the KU IT Help Desk. You will be the first contact for students, faculty, staff, and affiliates, assisting with technology issues and providing excellent customer service.

No advanced technical experience is required as training is provided. During training you will work ~15 hours/week and must be available 8:00 AM–5:00 PM for sessions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience evident in application materials.
• Strong problem-solving abilities demonstrated in application materials.
• Excellent communication skills evidenced in application materials.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Help Desk requests via phone, email, chat, and walk-in support.
• Create, update, and document service tickets with detailed notes.
• Assist users with account access, password resets, and common tech issues.
• Troubleshoot issues across Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows platforms.
• Escalate complex issues to full-time staff when appropriate.
