Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern located in St. Francisville, LA at Riverbend Station. The intern will be a temporarily employed full-time college student in a work-study program designed to give practical work experience in nuclear operations engineering.

Duties include developing design change packages, performing engineering calculations, evaluating plant responses to transients, and supporting operations and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

Summer 2027 Engineering Intern located in St. Francisville, LA at Riverbend Station Legal Entity: Entergy Operations, Inc.-EOI This position is responsible for assisting and supporting Nuclear Operations - Engineering. The intern will be a temporarily employed full-time college student in an accredited four-year institution of higher learning who is in a work-study program designed to give college students practical work experience in their field of study.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop elements of design change packages with supervisory oversight
• Perform engineering calculations within established standards and procedures
• Perform evaluations of fuel cycle design
• Investigate corrective actions for operating problems
• Perform calculations on plant capability and efficiency improvement
• Evaluate plant equipment responses to transients
• Determine appropriate materials for specific applications
• Establish standard designs, drawings, reference files and/or cost data
• Conduct transient and dynamic stability studies
• Prepare engineering specifications for purchases
• Monitor plant system performance and provide support for operations and maintenance activities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be actively pursing an undergrad or master's degree in an engineering program from a 4-year accreditied University/College
• Must have a cumulative GPA of a 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
