Job summary

Entergy Louisiana, LLC invites a student intern in engineering to join the team and contribute to day-to-day activities within the Plant Lead Team and Operations. We are seeking rising juniors and seniors majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, with a GPA of 2.8 or higher.

This onsite internship offers exposure to data analysis, project development, and documentation tasks, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Plant Lead Team and Operations Teams with day to day tasks.
  • Supports Project Development.
  • Supports troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Conducts data analysis.
  • Prepares documents, spreadsheets, presentations, interoffice correspondence.
  • Conducts follow-ups in a detailed fashion.
  • Handles multiple assignments and works within deadlines.
  • Is proactive in forwarding work issues to the appropriate managers/supervisors.
  • Works well in a team environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

General electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering knowledge. Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills; Must be proficient in MS office tools - Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Excellent organizational skills; Strong and positive team attitude and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize work and to handle multiple tasks; Ability to understand scope and objective of each assignment.
