Qualifications

• AA degree or two years of college required.
• Paraprofessional Assessment Exam score 455+ if not holding AA.
• General knowledge of technical procedures expected.
• Familiarity with School District practices or policies.
• Proficiency can be developed within 12–24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of instructional materials using duplicating or AV equipment.
• Help students understand instructional concepts and reemphasize basics.
• Assist teachers with implementing lesson plans and correcting student work.
• Maintain records of student progress and supervise students in and out of class.
• Support classroom discipline and organize materials and filing.
