Job summary

Bend‑La Pine Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant – Inclusion to support students with special needs in classrooms, resource centers, and related settings. The role involves one-on-one and small-group instruction, under the supervision of a special education teacher and/or administrator.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, monitoring student progress, communicating with teachers and parents, and preparing instructional materials.

Qualifications

• Assists with implementing individualized education plans (IEP) for students.
• Maintains records to monitor student progress and data.
• Provides in-class and small-group instructional support under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementing IEPs and programs.
• Supports teachers in preparing and evaluating instructional activities.
• Communicates student progress to teachers and parents.
• Maintains daily/monthly data records on student progress.
• Reinforces basic concepts and provides practice in identified skills.
• Prepares instructional materials and operates instructional equipment.
• Supervises students during breaks and transitions to maintain a safe environment.
• Assists with routine tasks to support student learning and safety.
• Adheres to district policies and confidentiality requirements.
