Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor for The Summit at Queens College in Flushing, NY. You will oversee maintenance and custodial work for an on-campus community, perform repairs, manage staff and vendors, and participate in on-call rotations.

The role requires coordinating preventive maintenance, inspecting contractor work, and supporting budget and safety initiatives. Strong leadership and building-systems knowledge are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in overseeing maintenance and custodial operations.
• Ability to supervise staff and vendors effectively.
• Familiarity with general building systems and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Maintenance Technician, Student Maintenance Assistants, and one Custodial contract.
• Performs general maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and wall repairs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors and internal staff.
• Oversee contractors for renovations/repairs and inspect work quality.
• Assist in on-call schedule and rotation.
• Maintain work order system with Director.
• Assist Director with budget preparation and bid reviews.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct daily site inspections and monthly property inspections.
• Support site safety trainings and inspections.
