Job summary

University of Miami Housing and Residence Life seeks a Housing Assignments Manager to oversee overflow housing, coordinate with off-campus vendors, and manage annual housing processes for undergraduate students. You will support students and families, respond to inquiries, and ensure smooth term transitions throughout the academic year.

The role requires collaboration with campus partners, leadership in a busy housing office, and compliance with ADA, FERPA, and HIPAA regulations; on-call duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant housing experience, preferably in a university setting.
• Experience with StarRez and access systems preferred.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team and respond to crises.

Responsibilities

• Manage overflow housing and coordinate with on-campus properties.
• Serve as liaison for undergraduate students and housing inquiries.
• Coordinate waitlist management and room changes.
• On-call rotation for crisis response and after-hours support.
• Ensure compliance with ADA, FERPA, HIPAA and university policies.
