Description

Student Help and Seasonal Laborers are hired to assist in various departments including:

• Highway Maintenance: assisting with road/highway maintenance responsibilities.
• Bridge Department: assisting crews in building and maintaining bridges and culverts.
• Fleet Maintenance: helping mechanics maintain the fleet.
• Mobility Department: assisting with paint striping, sign installation, and other duties.

All seasonal hires will receive safety training and personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots as needed.

Typical Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Pre-employment drug testing required.
• Seasonal employees receive t-shirts and steel-toed boots (as needed).
• Eligible for Holiday pay based on hours worked.
• Part of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS): employees contribute 10%, and the County contributes 14%. More info at www.opers.org.
