Job summary

South Washington County Schools in Woodbury High School is seeking a Hall Monitor Paraprofessional to supervise students before, during, and after the school day, including lunch periods. The role emphasizes safety, positive behavior, and supportive interactions with secondary students in the 11-18 age range.

Starting pay is $21.93 per hour with a potential $0.50 increase upon Highly Qualified status. Hours are 6.5 per day, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with a ½ hour unpaid lunch; anticipated start date

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Competencies as required by Minnesota, Federal government, and District 833.
• Proven teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and desire to work with youth aged 11–18.
• Ability to enforce behavior guidelines consistently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in and around the school and grounds before, during, and after the day.
• Enforce lunchroom and hallway behavioral guidelines and consequences.
• Develop positive relationships with students to support learning.
• Coordinate with staff to maintain a respectful work environment.
• Escort students to lunch, restrooms, nurse, and classrooms as needed.
• Monitor entrances, attendance, and sign-in procedures.
• Monitor parking, bus loading areas, and hallway supervision during classes.
• Provide on-site conflict resolution and refer incidents to administration.
• Assist lunchroom staff and distribute passes.
• Monitor security cameras and support attendance tracking.
