Job summary

Achievement First invites applications for the full-time Paraprofessional role in Rhode Island. This position focuses on supporting student behavior and ensuring academic success through various initiatives. You will work collaboratively with teachers and administrators, maintaining high expectations and the REACH Values.

The Paraprofessional's responsibilities include developing behavior protocols, providing classroom support, and engaging with parents. The ideal candidate possesses strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with a passing score on the ParaPro Exam.
• Or 60 earned college credits, AA or BA degree.
• RIDE Teaching Assistant Training Certificate required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a behavior system for students temporarily removed from classes.
• Create growth plans and tracking charts for students needing additional support.
• Build rapport with students, checking in daily and communicating with parents.
• Provide administrative support at breakfast, lunch, and dismissal.
• Assist the Dean of School Culture with related work as required.
