Job summary

The Cranston City School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to support instructional and behavioral goals within the Special Education department. You will assist teachers in small group and one-on-one settings, implement IEP accommodations, and help with data collection and daily living activities as needed.

Responsibilities include facilitating transitions, supporting communication with students and staff, and applying behavior management strategies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Rhode Island Teacher Assistant certificate and CPR/AED/First Aid training.
• Ability to support instructional activities and manage classroom behavior.
• Clear communication with teachers, students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in small group and individual instructional activities.
• Follow teacher directions to support all students in all settings.
• Implement modifications and accommodations per IEP.
• Assist with data collection and documentation.
