Qualifications

• Associates degree in education or related field preferred but not required.
• All applicants must hold a high school Diploma or GED.
• Must be CPI certified or be willing to get certified within 1 year of employment (if applicable).
• A commitment to working with a diverse student and staff population.

Responsibilities

• Maintain collaboration and professional communication with both general and special education teachers to ensure daily behavior and academic supports and to maximize instructional time.
• Maintain confidentiality of information concerning scholars and families.
• Monitor/support the use of special modifications or accommodations for scholars with disabilities.
• Work with scholars individually or in small groups to reinforce content initially introduced by the teacher(s).
• Assist teacher(s) with both instructional and non-instructional related tasks.
• Maintain Non-Violent Crisis Intervention/CPI Certification, if applicable.
• Support school-wide needs as assigned and identified by the HOS.
