Scituate School Department in Rhode Island seeks a Paraprofessional – Behavior Therapist for 32.5 hours weekly at Scituate High School or Scituate Middle School. Starting immediately, you will provide direct behavioral and instructional support under supervision of certified staff, implementing BIPs and data collection to support student growth.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, BCBA, and families to create inclusive learning environments and evidence-based behavior strategies

Competenze

• Experience or training in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior support.
• Ability to collect and record behavioral data accurately.
• Ability to work under supervision of special education staff and BCBA.
• Support students in inclusive and general education settings.

• Perform under the Special Education teacher's supervision and direction in all areas of school activities and instruction.
• Assist in inclusion activities supporting students in the general education setting.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support strategies developed by the educational team and BCBA.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group behavioral and instructional support to students.
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate behavioral and instructional data.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to supervising staff.
• Follow district policies and procedures related to student safety and crisis response.
