Chapman University in Orange, CA is seeking a Student Graphic Designer to assist with graphic design projects for the Escalette Collection. You will create labels, didactics, and promotional materials while collaborating with exhibition curators and printers to prepare print-ready materials.
Work closely with the DCI Lab and brand guidelines to support campus exhibitions. The role focuses on developing visual strategies, preparing installation mock-ups, and supporting social media graphics.
Student Graphic Designer
Under the direction of the Collections Manger of the Escalette Collection Permanent Art Collection, an academic unit of Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the Student Graphic Designer will assist with a range of graphic design projects including: creating object labels, designing exhibition didactics, working with printers to prepare projects for print on various materials, printing labels and other projects using the Design/Create/Innovate (DCI) lab, creating installation mock-ups, and designing flyers, newsletters, and other promotional material as needed. The successful candidate will be able to work within brand guidelines while also working collaboratively with exhibition curators to develop creative visual strategies.
