The University of Kansas is seeking a Student Grader for History of Rock and Roll. This on-site hourly position supports faculty by grading assignments with established rubrics, providing timely, fair feedback, and keeping student records confidential.
To qualify, you must be enrolled as a KU graduate or undergraduate student and meet a minimum credit-hour requirement. Start date: Friday, September 11, 2026. Pay: $10.50 per hour.
The Student Grader will support faculty by accurately and efficiently evaluating homework assignments for History of Rock and Roll. Graders must demonstrate strong attention to detail, consistency in applying grading standards, and the ability to provide fair, accurate, and timely assessments of student work.
Perform a wide range of duties dependent upon a unit's needs. However, such job responsibilities are not seen as critical to the completion of a graduate level degree. Must meet the enrollment guidelines as defined by the University and may be a undergraduate or graduate student.
Standard hours of 1.00 is used for all positions. STN paygroup
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
