The University of Kansas EECS department invites applications for Grader positions for Summer 2026, Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. These on campus roles involve grading homework and related student work in EECS courses, with hours varying by enrollment.
Applicants must be current KU EECS students with a minimum KU GPA of 3.0 and have achieved a grade of B or better in the course you will assist with. Starting pay is $14.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) invites candidates to submit application materials for consideration as needs arise for Graders during the Summer 2026 , Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
100% Duties include grading homework and other work performed by students in various EECS courses. The number of hours per week is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the course.
Position will be terminated if KU GPA falls below the required minimum of 3.0.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled inno fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1)have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or be pre-enrolledin the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or be enrolled insummer session or be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. StudentHourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted forGRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
