Job summary

Success Education Colleges (SEC) seeks a Financial Aid Advisor in Long Beach, CA to manage federal/state aid programs for prospective and current students. The role involves administering disbursement and return of aid, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

You will verify FAFSA data, input ISIRs, provide entrance/exit counseling, and maintain accurate files while coordinating with Admissions and other staff. A high school diploma and at least one year in financial aid are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of Financial Aid experience is required.
• Experience with Student Financial Aid software applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to students/parents about financial aid requirements and procedures.
• Review financial aid applications, forms, and documentation for completeness and accuracy; verify FAFSA data for eligibility.
• Input FAFSA data, review ISIR, and maintain funding schedules in CLASS.
• Provide entrance and exit counseling.
• Answer questions from students or parents.
• Maintain complete and accurate files.
• Collaborate with Admissions and other staff; stay current on applicable laws and regulations.
• Attend financial aid workshops and conferences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
