Job summary

Success Education Colleges seeks a Financial Aid Advisor to administer federal, state, and institutional aid for prospective and current students. You will explain aid plans, review rights and responsibilities, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will verify FAFSA data, input FAFSA/ISIR in CLASS, provide entrance and exit counseling, maintain files, and coordinate with Admissions. Strong customer service and knowledge of Title IV rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of government regulations relating to financial aid and Title IV.
• Demonstrated skills in modeling a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the public.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive, confidential issues.
• Detail oriented and produces work that is accurate.
• Demonstrated computer literacy including Word, Excel, Outlook and internet.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to students and parents regarding financial aid requirements and procedures.
• Explain Financial Aid plans to students and parents; review rights and responsibilities with regards to financial aid.
• Review financial aid applications, forms and documentation for completeness and accuracy; verify FAFSA information to determine eligibility.
• Input FAFSA, review resulting ISIR and maintain financial aid funding schedule in CLASS.
• Provide entrance and exit counseling.
• Answer questions from students or parents; respond to inquiries.
• Maintain complete and accurate files and paperwork.
• Remain current on applicable laws and regulations.
• Attend financial aid workshops and conferences.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
