Job summary

Hci-College is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to guide students and families through Federal Student Aid applications, verification, and award processes. You will collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, and campus staff to ensure accurate aid data and compliance.

Responsibilities include counseling, maintaining records, and staying current on regulations while delivering strong customer service. This full-time on-site role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal Student Aid programs and guidelines.
• Knowledge of Veteran Benefit program preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of coordinating multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work with diverse student population.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and internet.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and parents to apply for Federal Student Aid and private funding.
• Provide information on requirements and procedures for financial aid applications.
• Review financial aid applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Review ISIR and ensure award data accuracy in Campus Nexus and Campus Ivy Core.
• Complete verification processes as needed for eligibility.
• Maintain accurate reporting and files.
• Provide entrance and exit counseling to students.
• Respond to questions from students or parents.
• Maintain relationships with Admissions, Registrar, and campus personnel.
• Stay current on applicable laws and regulations and compliance.
• Participate in financial aid trainings and events.
