Job summary

UF ECE Ambassadors is seeking a Student Financial Aid Coordinator I to verify and award financial aid, resolve processing issues, and ensure timely access to resources for UF students.

You will handle federal aid processing, award eligibility, and student communications while supporting scholarships and private loans. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, with a preference for financial aid experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: student financial aid experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong organizational/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan records with the U.S. Department of Education.
• Review eligibility and update aid packages within cost-of-attendance and need-based rules.
• Communicate with students through UF’s Gator360 system about documents and next steps, ensuring timely disbursement.
• Process scholarship checks and manage private loan information for students.
• Assist with travel, training, and other duties as assigned.
