Job summary

Lawrence University is seeking an in-person Financial Aid Coordinator to support the Financial Aid and Student Accounts Offices on the Appleton campus. You will be the first point of contact for students and families, handling inquiries by phone, email, and in person.

The role emphasizes service, accuracy in aid processing, and coordination with Admissions, Registrar, and Development. A Bachelor's degree and good communication are required; experience in higher education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and data entry is preferred.
• Higher education experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to students and families.
• Serve as front-line support for Financial Aid and Student Accounts via phone, email, and in-person.
• Assist with application materials, FAFSA/CSS Profile submissions, and updating student records.
• Process and review reports on aid requirements and student account balances, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Assist with disbursement of payments, including scholarships and loans.
• Coordinate processing of institutional payments for special programs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal/state financial aid programs and regulations.
