Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalents may include 1–2 years in customer service, higher education administration, or banking/finance.
• Ability to read/interpret complex documents (government regulations) and write routine reports.
• Strong math/data-analysis skills; comfortable with financial figures and budgets.
• Proficiency with common software; ability to quickly learn institutional databases and SIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, welcoming service to students, parents, and DePauw University community.
• Advise students and families regarding financial aid eligibility, FAFSA procedures, packaging policies, costs, and billing.
• Maintain secure, confidential student aid records per privacy regulations.
• Process and verify financial aid materials, tax documents, and related forms accurately.
• Learn and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations.
• Assist in developing informational materials and conducting informational sessions on financial aid.
