Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, education or related field.
• Previous experience in a financial aid or student services role within higher education.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Customer service-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to student success.
• Proficient in computer applications, including financial aid management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in navigating the financial aid process, including completing applications, verifying documents, and submitting required forms.
• Conduct financial aid presentations and individual counseling sessions to explain options and responsibilities.
• Evaluate applications to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
• Maintain accurate and complete student financial aid records, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with other university departments to resolve financial aid issues and provide excellent service.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in financial aid regulations and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures.
