Job Description

This role supports Academy Sales across multiple functions to drive increased student enrollment while serving as a key resource for prospective and newly enrolled students navigating private student loan funding (primarily Sallie Mae and Stratus). It also bridges Student Finance and Academy Sales by helping students understand the loan application process and funding timelines, while ensuring timely follow‑up and accurate handoff to Student Finance for certification and decision‑making. In addition, this role is responsible for selling and supporting Jet Transition and ATP/CTP.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for professionally communicating information promptly to teams in the U.K. and the U.S. on a variety of platforms.
  • Maintain accurate information in Salesforce, SAP, and Flight Schedule Pro (FSP).
  • Supports events that are outside the box, to drive awareness and leads in support of our sales team.
  • Listens to customer concerns and provides appropriate direction and feedback to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Works to re‑establish airline relationships for ATP/CTP pipelines.
  • Manages and supports all ATP/CTP and Jet Transition students, including coordination with the customer and BMA, our provider of these services.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to support the team’s global mission, vision, and daily operations.
  • Provide high‑level guidance on private loan applications (e.g., Sallie Mae, Stratus).
  • Explain how to begin and submit applications and typical funding timelines.
  • Answer common questions regarding co‑signers, basic deferment information, APR terminology, and typical loan amounts for tuition.
  • Conduct follow‑up with students who have not completed applications.
  • Route complex financial or eligibility questions to Student Finance.
  • Maintain proactive communication with prospective and incoming students.
  • Access lender portals to check loan status (pending, approved, missing items).
  • Communicate status updates to students and Admissions.
  • Coordinates with students, Student Finance, and Customer Relations on researching and resolving student cancellation disputes.
  • Maintain proactive communication with prospective and incoming students.
  • Support operational targets by keeping applicants on track for start dates.
  • Set expectations related to budget usage, spending patterns, and institutional review processes.
  • Escalate any eligibility or exception requests to Student Finance.
  • May be asked to work in varied locations like the front desk, Learning Resource Center, and as a support liaison for students in the Academic and Flight Operations buildings, as well as off campus, supporting outreach and networking events.
  • As other duties are assigned.
Qualifications
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post‑Secondary/associate’s degree with 2 to 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and Teams.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the internal team and with the customers.
  • Solutions‑driven, always seeking ways to turn a negative into a positive.
  • Able to handle and respond to communication on multiple platforms promptly.
  • Proactive in thinking through solutions to situations before they become problems.
  • Ability to be flexible, as the role evolves based on department and Academy needs.
  • Takes ownership of handling issues as they arise and feels empowered to problem‑solve them by seeking feedback from the appropriate parties as needed.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of job functions as a key connection and liaison between multiple teams in the U.K. and the U.S.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting and accounts receivable.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle complex conversations and assist with early de‑escalation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Experience in higher education, sales, aviation, or vocational training environments.
  • Familiarity with private student loans (Sallie Mae preferred).
  • Experience with CRM or student information systems.
  • Ability to easily learn and manipulate software programs required to complete tasks related to safety and compliance.
