Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago offers a College Work Study opportunity as a Student Experience Ambassador. You will conduct empathy interviews with CCC students, document insights, and support student engagement initiatives on campus.

Salary is hourly under the Federal Work Study program, with training provided and a focus on confidentiality and professional conduct. Applicants must be CCC students enrolled full-time or part-time as eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or actively pursuing at CCC.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent listening and note-taking abilities.
• Ability to work respectfully in a diverse environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 or small-group empathy interviews with students.
• Take clear, accurate notes during interviews.
• Transcribe and organize interview notes using templates.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Attend mandatory trainings on interviewing and data collection.
• Support surveys and projects as needed.
• Provide general office support and data entry in Word/Excel.
• Collaborate with supervisors to identify themes and insights.
