Job summary

Lied Center in Kansas is seeking an on-site Student Events & Audience Services Assistant to manage event operations, ticketing, and guest services. You will coordinate volunteer ushers, resolve ticketing issues, and ensure a smooth on-site experience for patrons and clients during events.

The role requires reliability with irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and familiarity with AV basics. This hourly position supports event delivery and client relations across diverse programs.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in events management, ticketing or customer service.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Must be available to work irregular schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure facility before and after events.
• Coordinate and supervise volunteer usher teams with pre-event briefings.
• Process ticket sales, exchanges, refunds and inquiries with strong customer service.
• Prepare venues for performances and events including signage and seating arrangements.
• Set up and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
