Job summary

Butler University seeks a Student Equipment Checkout Assistant for the College of Communication. Based in Indianapolis, this on-site role supports equipment reservations, checks in/out, and customer service for students and faculty.

Shift: 2-6 hours/week, weekdays 12 PM–8 PM, with semester-based scheduling. Training provided; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with cameras and audio gear preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student enrolled at Butler University.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail and task oriented with ability to follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Check and prepare reserved equipment before pickup.
• Provide customer service to students and faculty using the checkout system.
• Scan equipment in and out of the Connect2 reservations site.
• Check equipment on return for loss or damage.
• Manage asset availability in Connect2.
• Maintain equipment through inventory and checks for damage or loss.
• Communicate issues with staff and coordinator.
