The Student Enrollment & Retention Coordinator owns day-to-day outreach, lead conversion, and feeder pipeline development, including relationships with preschool and daycare partners, while maintaining a sustained community presence in the neighborhood. The Student Enrollment and Retention Coordinator will apply current best practices in family engagement and community outreach to generate and convert inquiries into enrolled students.Essential FunctionsStrategy and Vision Setting ResponsibilitiesLead high-impact, community-based recruitment strategies to drive student enrollmentExecute targeted, door-to-door canvassing and street-level outreach to directly engage prospective families and provide real-time enrollment supportIdentify and activate high-leverage community spaces (parks, local events) to expand visibility and generate new applicationsBuild and sustain relationships with feeder preschools, daycares. Community organizations, and neighborhood partners to develop a continuous pipeline of prospective parentsServe as a visible ambassador of the Camino Nuevo – Sandra Cisneros neighborhood, strengthening trust and community presenceAlign weekly outreach efforts to enrollment goals, seasonal priorities, and campus-specific needsFamily Outreach & Relationship ManagementServe as a primary point of contact for prospective families, responding via phone, text, email, and in-person interactionsConduct outbound phone banking and follow-up to move families through the enrollment pipelineGuide families through the application, lottery, and registration process with clarity and urgencyProvide high-touch, relationship-centered support to ensure a positive family experiencePartner with Parent Community Leaders (PCLs) to coordinate community outreach, canvassing, and family engagement efforts that build relationships with prospective families and support enrollment growth.Enrollment Operations & Data TrackingAccurately enter and manage family data in SchoolMint or other enrollment systemsTrack outreach efforts, contact attempts, and conversion rates from interest to enrollmentMaintain detailed records of leads, events, and recruitment outcomesSupport document collection and ensure timely completion of enrollment requirementsGenerate weekly outreach and enrollment progress reports Average Daily Attendance & Chronic AbsenteeismMonitor and support Average Daily Attendance (ADA) goalsPartner with site leadership team, registrar, and other site staff to identify attendance trendsConduct proactive family outreach for students approaching chronic absenteeism thresholds, and implement re-engagement strategies before patterns become chronicMaintain a targeted outreach list for students at risk of or experiencing chronic absenteeismCoordinate with school staff to connect families to supports, remove barriers to attendance, and sustain enrollment through relationship-based interventionOther duties as assignedNON-DISCRIMINATION STATEMENTCamino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying in educational programs, activities, or employment on the basis of actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, parental, pregnancy, family or marital status, military status or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.
